X-Cart Chat Integration
MyLiveChat Plugin for X-Cart provides an easy way to integrate your X-Cart online store
with the LiveChat solution. MyLiveChat is a free, fast, high performance and
most user-friendly live chat solution. It allows you to live chat with website visitors,
monitor site traffic, and analyze visitors' web activities, including their search
engine and keyword usage.
This tutorial will help you install LiveChat solution on your XCart-based online store. Before you proceed you need to have a MyLiveChat account. If you don't have one, please sign up for a free LiveChat account.
Start Now
Step 1. Copy MyLiveChat Code
Login MyLiveChat web console, click
Deployment menu on the left. Choose Embedded Chat tab and copy MyLiveChat
code.
Step 2. Edit templates and Insert MyLiveChat code
Now login to your X-Cart admin account. You need to:
- Click Content -> Edit templates menu on the top
- Select your template, click Customers folder, and open home.tpl (Get current skin from Setting -> Appearance page)
- Paste MyLiveChat code to the bottom of home.tpl (before </html>), insert MyLiveChat code and save
Note: X-Cart converts our script, so to add monitoring or button code you need to add {literal} before the script and {/literal} after the script.
